Data Sources: Where PayPal Fee Tools Gets Every Rate
Last updated:
The rule
Every rate on this site, starting with the PayPal fee calculator, comes from the platform's own published fee page and nowhere else. We do not copy rates from other calculators, blogs or forum posts. Each line in our data carries the URL it was transcribed from, the date the platform last updated that page, and the date we last compared our file to it.
Re-verification
We compare each data file to its source page at least once a quarter, and sooner when a platform announces a change. A check that finds no change still updates the "last verified" date. A check that finds a change updates the rates and the date together, so the two can never drift apart. If a data file is ever more than 100 days old, our build refuses to publish.
Rounding
PayPal US: Fee = round(gross × percent, half up to the cent) + fixed fee, never above a listed cap; net = gross − fee. Not yet checked against real PayPal statements. Status: pending verification against real statements . If you have a statement that disagrees with the calculator by a cent, please tell us; that is exactly the evidence needed to mark the rule verified.

What we leave out on purpose
Currency conversion spreads, promotional rates, negotiated merchant rates and country pages we have not yet verified are not shown. A missing number is better than a guessed one.
Reporting an error
Email hello@paypalfeetools.com with the page, the fee type, the amount and what the platform actually charged. Corrections ship as a data change with a new verification date, and material changes are recorded publicly.
