Privacy Policy: What PayPal Fee Tools Collects and Why
Last updated:
This site is a set of calculators that run in your browser. The amounts you type are never sent to us. This page explains the small amount of data that is collected and why.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins or passwords.
- No contact forms; the only way to reach us is email, and we keep those emails only as long as needed to reply.
- The calculator does its arithmetic on your device. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
Analytics
We use a self-hosted instance of Umami to count page views and referrers. Umami does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not track you across sites. We use it to see which pages are useful so we know which calculators to add next.
We may also use Google Analytics 4. Where it is enabled, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are measured only in a cookieless, consent-aware mode until they choose otherwise through Google's consent message.
Session recordings
We may use Microsoft Clarity to see how the calculator is used: where people click, type and get stuck. Clarity records page interactions, not keystrokes in the amount field, and masks text by default. It uses a cookie to tell sessions apart. Microsoft's policy is at privacy.microsoft.com .
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message before any such processing; visitors in US states with privacy laws are shown Google's US state privacy message. You can change your choice through those messages at any time. Google's own policy is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads .
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not access that data except in aggregate.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about visitors beyond emails you send us, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side; ask and we will confirm. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use their tools linked above.
